Guiding Since The 1890's

My family has been guiding in the Atchafalaya Basin since 1890. I am the third generation Couret Guide to carry on the family tradition in the Atchafalaya Basin Swamp.

Beginning in the 1890's my grandfather started a family tradition by guiding duck and deer hunters into the Atchafalaya Basin Swamp.

My father kept the tradition going in the 1950's until the 1980's.

My brothers and myself started guiding with our father in the early 1960's , and we are keeping the tradition going today. The Atchafalaya Basin Swamp Wilderness is a paradise for over 250 species of birds, nature photographers and outdoor enthusiasts.
